Το έργο μάς σεργιανίζει στα βάθη ενός παραμυθένιου ωκεανού, όπου γεννιέται μια υπέροχη γοργόνα, η Χρυσομελένια. Φορώντας πάντα ένα μαγικό κοχύλι στον λαιμό, δώρο της μαμάς της, η μικρή γοργόνα βιάζεται πολύ να μεγαλώσει και να δοκιμάσει εμπειρίες για τις οποίες δεν είναι ώριμη ακόμα… Μας παρασύρει χορεύοντας και τραγουδώντας πέρα από τις χιλιόχρωμες σπηλιές, σ’ ένα περιπετειώδες ταξίδι, γεμάτο αγωνία και εκπλήξεις!
